Mixed Hockey in the Leicestershire League

Rutland Mixed Hockey Club | Oakham

Rutland Mixed Hockey Club was established in 2001 and today remains the only mixed hockey team in the county! The club fields two teams in the Leicestershire and Rutland Mixed Hockey League - The Horseshoes and The Oaks - with both teams providing opportunities to play hockey in the top two divisions of the most competitive mixed hockey league in the country.

As well as providing an excellent environment for everyone to enjoy playing hockey, the club also boasts an excellent social side with regular events for all.

Rutland Horseshoes (1st XI)

The Horseshoes play in the first division of the Leicestershire and Rutland Mixed Hockey League and have enjoyed an excellent recent run of form finishing in the top three for the last three seasons. This year they are hoping to be competitive once again and try and bring the title winners' trophy back to Rutland for the first time!

Rutland Oaks (2nd XI)

The Oaks return to the second division this year after a brief period alongside the Horseshoes in division one last year. The previous season saw them gain promotion after a fantastic season and they will be looking to compete for the top spot once again this year.

Club Training

Club training takes place on Tuesday evenings at Oakham School Top Astro, Kilburn Road, Oakham LE15 6QN 8pm - 9pm. (Starting Sept 3rd 2019). Everyone is welcome to attend and sessions cost £3.
