Rutland Mixed Hockey Club was established in 2001 and today remains the only mixed hockey team in the county! The club fields two teams in the Leicestershire and Rutland Mixed Hockey League - The Horseshoes and The Oaks - with both teams providing opportunities to play mixed hockey in the top two divisions of the most competitive mixed hockey league in the country.

As well as providing an excellent environment for everyone to enjoy playing hockey, the hockey club also boasts an excellent social side with regular events for all.

Rutland Hockey Fixtures and Locations

Rutland hockey is a friendly hockey club for a wide variety of age groups and abilities. We currently have players from Oakham, Langham, Stamford, Ketton, Market Harborough, Empingham and further afield.

Training takes place on a Tuesday evening at Oakham School between 8pm and 9pm.

Socials for Club Members, Friends and Family

Rutland hockey hosts social events through the season for the team and their friends and family ranging from BBQs to meals out, a fully stocked AGM, or simply returning to The Grainstore in Oakham after training on a Tuesday, or when we have home games in Oakham.

If you are looking to get back into playing hockey, please get in touch below. Any level of player are welcome and treated equally. We have no yearly subscription, so you are not bound to the club. Simply pay for when you play or train.
